The social housing project was launched in 2014 to provide housing units for many low-income people, and it has benefited over 320,000 families so far. What projects does the Ministry of Housing offer?


The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities strives to provide housing for all socioeconomic classes, and thus offers three housing projects for different classes:

The social housing project aims to serve the low-income class by providing housing units with an area ranging from 75 to 90 metres that consist of two rooms, a hall, or three rooms and a fully finished hall.

What is the difference between free social housing and ordinary social housing?


There are two types of social housing projects and the Ministry of Housing and Construction: social housing and free housing, the following will show the difference between them:

To be of Egyptian origin.


He must be at least 21 years old and not more than 50 years old.


Neither he nor his family (husband/wife/minor children) had previously benefited from the Ministry's housing projects.


Neither the applicant nor his family owns another dwelling, or the dwelling has been legally transferred to him.


To be a resident of the governorate in which he wishes to be detained, or to live or work in it.


That the family's net annual income from all sources does not exceed 68,400 pounds, which equates to 5,700 pounds per month, and that the net monthly income does not fall below 1,300 pounds.


For the single, his net annual income should not exceed 50,400 pounds, which equates to 4,200 pounds per month, and his net monthly income should not be less than 1,300 pounds.

Units cannot be purchased with cash and the mortgage system must be followed.

Disposal of the housing unit in any way is considered illegal before the passage of 7 years from the date of receipt.


What are the procedures for booking social housing?


After getting acquainted with the booking conditions and confirmation of availability, the applicant must take the following steps:

Pay the required amount in return for the seriousness of the reservation at the post office and receive the payment receipt.


Go to the Social Housing Fund website and complete the following steps:


Create a site account by clicking the Register button at the top of the page.


Fill out the registration form and enter the registration code received via text messages on the applicant's phone.


Fill out the application data and click the submit housing unit button.


Ensure that all necessary documents are attached.


After uploading the documents, the message "Your request has been sent successfully" will appear, indicating that the reservation request submission process has been completed.

The Third Settlement social housing project in New Cairo is distinguished by its proximity to the Ring Road and Ain Sokhna Road.
